Use the Right Tool for the Job

“Always use the right tool for the job.”

When I was young, fixing up our house and doing projects around the yard, my dad (and my grandpa) used to always say, “use the right tool for the job.” (I once used a dull knife to cut carpet, and my dad said, “son, it looks like a gopher has been gnawing on that…”)

And if you’re really experienced with tools you would know that new innovations such as a specific combination of power drill and clutch drive that will drive a screws where they need to go, without tearing out threads or damaging the wood. Genius eh?

Grandpa would be amazed!

It’s the same with your data tools.

Right now you may not necessarily be using a wrong tool (or you might be using an old tool, it’s hard to say because I don’t know you yet), but there likely is a combination—an integration–of tools that’s even better suited for the job to be done. Plus, you can get it done faster, with better results for you, your boss, and your partners.

One example of this is integrating Adobe Analytics data directly into Marketo. First, this innovative connection lets you see everything about your user’s journey, even pre-anonymous data. Talk about power tools!!!

You can know which video viewed (and how long) as well as which PDF downloads, webinars, and other deets not known to the Marketo munchkin. Plus, this
helps with your attribution depth modeling in several key ways.

And if you use Bizible—the sky’s the limit as you augment those attributions models as well.

This is just one of the many ways you can empower your data as you integrate your data as grandpa said, “Always use the right tool for the job…”
